Double Chin Liposuction

Double chin liposuction works in the same fashion as chin lipo. Normally a patient is using a local anesthesia so there will not be pain during the procedure. In addition, it will permit easier access for a small incision to be done beneath your chin or in fat removal place.

The incision area is where a fat suctioning device will suck out the fat. The device, also known as a cannula, has a small 2mm diameter which is attached to a custom vacuum pump to suck the fat out where it just scooped out.

Usually, there will be minor swelling and bruising following surgery. With recent new technology in the medical field, "double chin reductions" are being performed by non-surgical laser treatment. The advantage now is minimal scarring when compared to the traditional cosmetic surgeries such as a chin lift. Using lasers for the chin area involves melting fat and skin tightening which are both beneficial and aesthetically pleasing.
